A good friend had his finger removed due to his band getting caught in a piece of machinery. It happened many years ago... And still gives his wife grief for making him wear that ring. Now he just tells her he doesn't have a finger to put it on.

I did have to go to the hospital a few years back when I was spinning a wrench around my finger while I was watching TV, and it wouldn't come off. Spinning it made my finger swell up. I tried waiting, but nope. They tried ring cutters, but this was galvanized steel not gold. Thy ended up using dremel my dad went home and brought in. The sparks were EVERYWHERE and it burned, they used saline and gauze to protect my hand as best they could. They cut it off though.

They were talking surgery, had to pull my dad aside because they were really worried they couldn't get it off. He said no you aren't cutting off his finger I'm getting the dremel LOL

I don't wear mine either. I work with cars, car batteries can have between 400 and 1200 Amps of power behind them plus moving parts and belts. I don't take the risk.
