Sleep at different intervals. I like to stay up late. She likes to get up early. Cuts the interaction window down to 8 hours in ideal circumstances.

Don't talk when you chew. In fact, don't talk at all.

Wear headphones. Noise cancelling preferable. Wear them even if you are not listening to anything on them. Make sure they are plugged into something or she'll get suspicious.

Do not look up. If you look Medusa in the eyes, you'll turn to stone. Do not look up.

Many moons ago the ex did not approve of something I'd done. Don't really remember what it was but it's irrelevant, anyhow as a result of said unnamed infraction she gave me the old cold shoulder. She moved to the couch for sleeping and literally didn't speak a single word to me for close to 3 weeks. Due to my rotating shift work this wasn't that difficult to accomplish but nonetheless for 3 weeks not a word in my presence.

Finally nearing the 3 week anniversary she approached me one day and asked if I'd noticed she hadn't been speaking to which I responded, yes I have noticed. Her next question was "Well, how does that make you feel"? Listen closely kids and learn from my mistake; my response to her question was to say "Well it's been kind of nice actually"!:rockwoot:

Of course as soon as I said it I knew that I had screwed up. My beautiful piece and quiet ruptured that very moment and she never gave me the silent treatment again.:(:crying:

So if you ever find yourself being given the silent treatment and actually prefer it to the alternative remember this story and answer the question correctly.

In this crazy topsy turvy world we live in today a concept that has been forgotten by the young is the magic found in a marriage that can grow forever.

It can manifest itself in incredibly humorous ways. A couple married 60+ years I knew, the wife heard of viagra and was badgering the doctor for it for her husband, they were in their 90's. So funny as neither likely could have performed but boy she was trying...

Don't be so quick to judge; when we first moved into our current home I was speaking to the neighbor across the way one day. I was working on some fence and he came over to offer a couple of suggestions which worked quite well. (At 92 years old I'm sure he knows a LOT more about fence, life, etc than I do so when he says something I listen) Anyhow we're talking about the area, his life etc and that his wife of 72 years had died a couple of years earlier. He told me "Oh I have a little girl that comes over once or twice a week because a man has his needs!" I about lost it when he said that; 92 years old and still chasing tail.:rockwoot:

That was my failure, I stuck it out for another 10 years or so as I was trying to do the right thing for our two kids. I honestly don't know if it worked or not.

Kids are a serious hurdle. I had 3 with the 1st "X" and none were planned. She weaponized them to her advantage. I seriously do not know if anything different could have been done but I tried my level best to be there for them. Her not so much. And they knew it unfortunately. This is one thing I wish I had a do over on.

June 28th I will have been with my wife for 24yrs (we were 18). Hope you can get something else nice figured out, good luck to you two and God Bless

Probably not, it was extremely stressful for her. Every bit of it ended in her missing her mom who passed. It had been a grief stricken process. We're still try to recoup the money lost but maybe a trip t.p Vegas in is order after the virus gets gone.

Both my kids hate my ex, their mom but love their stepmom. I guess it would be better for the kids if she didn't bail on us after 13 years then file for divorce from parts unknown. Just a P. O. Box #. My mistake for picking that one! I was fresh out of the military and wanting some regular loving. 3rd girl I dated & ended up marrying this against my better judgement. My mom dispised that girl from the get-go but was civil since grandkids could come around for her since my sister got murdered when I was 14 and she was 19.

The goat smelling part is a military reference. I actually don't smell that bad. Yet.

No, my current old lady and I are getting along swimmingly. I actually acquiesce to her demands of sex every night. I was just wondering if things went south of the border, what a reasonable, sane, prudent person could do in these trying times of Covid19?

Been with the ol' ball & chain 18yrs. Still get along great, we argue but never had any major fights. Not sure why but she puts up with my interests in guns and race cars too. To be honest, I got a good thing going here and really don't have any complaints
