    Paid off bills, and funded this summer's Disney trip. As of today, we're debt free besides mortgage and one car payment, that will probably change by next week. I also prefer to get quite a bit back, if it was in my check, things would come up and it would get spent.

    If your getting a large Tax Return redo your Deductions! Why would you let anyone use your Money without even a small % of interest?
    :dunno::dunno:
    EXACTLY! I usually owe a wee bit on the state, and get a bit of a refund on the Fed. This year I owe some on both - received and unexpected 1099 for schooling my wife received at BOSMA (The charity not the Politician).

    Refund.
    Withholdings.

    What is a tax return? How do I acquire one for myself?

    You don't file a tax return? Even if you don't get a refund, I imagine you still meet the requirements to file a return.

    Tax RETURN???? I don't even know what that means...
    You should know - it's that 1040 form you send in.

    :rolleyes:

    Well, the 15% that the wife and I paid just wasn't enough, so we had to send in another 1%. No refund, so no toys. F'ing .gov.

    You are a brave person. I wouldn't shoot that thing with Magnums in it if you held a hammer over my toes..........barefoot.

    Tax time is the only time of year where three kids in diapers actually makes me money. Unfortunately it all went to pay bills, except for a portion we used to pay for a new mattress!

    PS- What happened to the banana hump smiley?

    So, some of you have started your tax returns? :dunno:

    I suppose if I got a refund then I'd be a bit more energetic, but... :coffee:
