When did Amazon Prime delivery turn into 5-6 days?

More Amazon fun. I got a delivery yesterday. I was traveling so I asked the wife, and she said no delivery. But they showed it delivered.

So I looked at the photo. Sucker didnt just put it behind the privacy fence that hides the trash can like I asked in the delivery instructions. Nope. He also put it around BEHIND the can. I couldnt see it until I went back behind the can. LOL No complaints there.

But whoever was in shipping was lazy AF. The product comes in a box like this. No tape, just a folded cover. (and no foam inside the box)

And that is how it arrived. They just slapped a sticker on it and threw it on the cart. No overpack box, no packing foam. NOT EVEN A SMALL BIT OF TAPE TO SECURE THE LOOSE FLAP. (And it was so loose it came open when I picked it up.)

Pretty sure the manual fell out at some point in transit.

luckily its not fragile and survived the trip.

Well, just how much shipping protection do protective shippers need? Seems kinda redundant.

A few months ago I ordered two rolls of bubble wrap. The bubble wrap was wrapped in bubble wrap inside the box.

I had a order due yesterday. Even at 9:00 PM it still said out for delivery. This AM I get a message for 2 more days. Not really a problem, but it does seem to happen a lot more this year.

All of a sudden my Amazon Prime orders are taking almost a week to arrive. I can barely find anything with the option to ship next day or even two days. I placed an order Wednesday and it is not coming until Monday. I placed an order today for an item and it is not going to arrive until Friday.

It's almost enough to make a girl want to try getting along without them.

So - no issues here. The new Amazon whatever is operating in Crown Point now so @Snapdragon should be able to get her orders quicker than Jimmy Johns.

I must be lucky and live in an area frequented by their trucks.

My mouse broke on Wednesday, I ordered a new mouse and keyboard combo. The mouse got here Thursday, and the keyboard got here today (Friday). I am using both on my computer to type this message right now.

Originally the keyboard said it was coming in next week, but instead made it in 2 days.

I seem to have pretty good luck with Amazon prime orders.

I've had 3rd party amazon sellers get items to me the next day or two with the non-prime "free shipping" option. Amazon itself may take 2-3 days just to get the item shipped and post tracking results, prime or no... and this was before the China virus.

Ever since the Whiteland Amazon warehouse was built I have had 80% of the stuff get here next day as long as it is ordered before 3pm.
