I regret selling a pristine M1 Garand to a close friend. I didn't want to let it go but I had an opportunity to jump on a K98 and I needed the money, fast. The unfortunate part is the sale for the K98 fell through (the dude straight up disappeared) and my wife discover my was of cash. She took it and spent it on ... I don't know, crap. I felt robbed! On the bright side, my friend lets me shoot "his" gun and he likes to brag about what a score it was. Haha, funny guy.

I also regret selling a Persian Mauser to some guy on Armslist. I handed him the gun, he handed me the cash. All is good. We got to talking and the topic of hunting came up. As it turns out, he planned to sporterize this new Persian Mauser of his. As a collector this hurt to hear.

    This is going to hurt!
Pre-war pair of Colt 1911's, 300 numbers apart.
Kimber, Super America sn# SA301. (Yes, I remember the sn#)
    Winchester, M1 Garand, NM.
Springfield Armory, M1A Super Match. (I take delivery of my new one this week)
    Dakota Arms African, 416 Rigby.
    Winchester 1894, 1/2 round, 1/2 octagon, 32-40.
I am certain their are more, but this hits the highlights of my stupidity.

Back in the early 80's young and dumb I bought and sold/traded a lot of guns. The ones I regret now is a colt Python, couple of colt 1911's and a Stevens 22 over 410 just to name a few. I did however save a smith model 29 8 inch I bought new in 1982 it's still new in the box put away.
