Zombie gun

Im looking for a zombie gun. Can't decide between an AK or AR. What do you guys think, and why?

If there is a Zombie Apocalypse ,the AK will require less maintenance & handle more abuse .The AR is a fine weapon but does need a little more care & can be more finicky for its ammo diet than the AK.

JMHO, I have 26 + years of experience, with the AR, so I will pick it EVERY time... I have a Colt Match, and it works, real well !!!!!

the only reason i chose AR is accuracy...in a typical zombie scenario headshots are crucial...so AR wins my vote

True the AK will deal more readily with abuse and require less maintenance, but when "head shots" count, I'll take the AR - just not in 5.56
(but that's just me!).

How ???? I will last longer, because I can shoot you, from 200 yards, with an AR, YOU, have to be about 50-60 yards to hit me .....

If I had to choose other than my Remington 870 Talo 12ga. I would take my.MAK90 sporter AK over my DPMS AR simply because of the 7.62 stopping power over the 223

I'm not going to be shooting at YOU, unless you're drooling and dragging one leg behind you when you walk.
I also won't be shooting at zombies that are 200 yards away. They aren't a threat to me.
I'll be shooting them from 10-20 yards. 12ga seems like the best weapon for this to me.

whatever ur wallet can handle.....but i like the idea of both! use the AK as backup, but then again, you wont need to use the AK because the AR will never fail!!!!!

I'll take my AK, thanks. With a drum and a bunch o' mags.

Although it's not quite as accurate, accuracy doesn't mean much if your rifle fails in some way.

Im going with 7.62 + .50cal + 120mm. If we get to zombie situation im raiding FT Hood Tx. Just noticed the mineplow so that always makes things better.

I'll use my suppressed Walther G22 and have a Remington 870 for when they get too close. The last thing you want, is an extremely LOUD gun. They would just keep coming...which would be AWESOME, until you ran out of ammo.

I would also have my Sub2000 and Ruger SR9..just to ef some beeches up.

I like my Zombie Gun more.

But if I had to choose, I would go for the AK. I should be able to pick up an AR from any half eaten soldier later on.
