Could you? Sure you could. Would it bite you in the ***? Probably when you applied handcuffs. In reality...there was nothing excessive in their attempt to remove him. They attempted to escort him from private property. He decided he wasn't going. They put him on the ground.
What does Alaska law allow? I have no idea. One account I read stated the security personnel worked for a private firm. Were they comprised of off duty LEO? I have no idea. If they weren't LEO I'd have rather seen them wait for the troopers.
My personal opinion is that if you step on someone's private property and they ask you a couple of times to leave and you refuse...you'll probably get what you have coming. But that is nothing more than my personal opinion.
I hate that a "State Fair" is held on private property. That is absurd. I believe several Indiana county fairs are however. I also hate that the Indiana State Fair doesn't allow law abiding citizens the opportunity to protect themselves. You couldn't pay me to go there unarmed. I know too many of the patrons.
The question here is do we have a 1st amendment any more or has it been took away slowly like many of our rights???????
I have a feeling the old man is a Vietnam vet, just a guess.
He's 52 years old. My math suggests he's a bit young to have served in Vietnam, at least while the United States was there.
Alcohol does that.Oops I never saw his age anywhere. He does look older then 52 in my opinion.
Alcohol does that.
Crap...now I have to switch vices.Actually, it appears that alcohol increases life span. I believe cigarettes "do that."

Whether you like Obama or not he is the president and should be treated with the respect the office holds. snip.
Horsecrap. The man's words and actions, his hatred of America, his racism, his contempt for the Constitution have rendered him despicable and utterly unworthy of being shown any sign of respect. He should tarred and feathered, not catered to. I wouldn't show anybody else with his ideals the vaguest sign of respect, no reason to treat that scummy vermin any better.
Have cops ever not sided with the Barney Fife Security Guards of the world?

Your choice...I will show him respect for his office even though I do not like what he has done. George W. made a lot of bad mistakes and I bash his policy choices the same as Clinton, Reagan, and Carter. IMO, once a person is elected into that office then they should get at least a certain level of respect which the office holds even though I can't stand what they are doing with policy issues. Also, that does not mean you can't protest or campaign against to try and remove them from office at all.

If he gets to send guys to pick up your guns one day, we will see how that respect thing is working for you.
