And there were posts/threads where things were true.

There were more red flags with the Parkland murderer than at a communist pride parade.

There was a massive systemic failure on the part of many, including the failure to act on crimes that are felonies (assaulting adopted mother, electronic threats).

Broward County Schools received a reported $53.8 million dollars for "lowering the arrest rate of students".

The Broward County Sheriff has outright lied about the events of 14 Feb, and is currently the subject of a no-confidence vote.

According to individuals funded by a nanny-state elitist with a private security army, a nazi collaborator/convicted felon/currency manipulator, and a terrorist who openly supports sharia law: it's the NRA's fault.

The only child I can name (who speaks of something I believe in strongly), is threatened and intimidated over a completely legal activity by the same people who were part of the complete and total systemic failure; who turned a blind-eye to a murderer, for money.

You know how you feel about Kashuv? How you take his words at face value because they align with your worldview? That's how they feel about Hogg. Kashuv isn't special. He's a kid that's getting involved in politics. There's absolutely no reason for anyone here to take what he says as 100% truth. Didn't we learn our lesson from that in, oh, early 2017?

People involved in politics should always been looked at with a skeptical mind. Asking for more information is not a ****ing distraction, it's being responsible. Propaganda is on the rise (yes, from both sides), which is all the more reason to be skeptical.

It's likely what Kashuv said is mostly true. I hope it's all true because that would be a pretty egregious thing to happen for what he did. Unfortunately I don't see a lot coming out of it, since it's nearly unverifiable. School will have their story, and Kashuv will have his.

Do be aware that Kashuv is getting more involved with media figures and political rhetoric. This means his credibility is on the line. I would hope that he keeps his events and stories as true as possible, because I think he's a great counter-balance to the Hogg's of the world. Both sides picked a kid to get behind, and both sides feel the same way you do about the other kid.

I have no issue with this young man. I will have to read back to see what you are referring to.
I do have serious issue with the County politics involved. That they can be outed and still act in complete defiance.

Give us one single thing that kid has done to make us think he is lying.

I wouldn't say Kashuv is lying. Embellishing is saying there are more, usually favorable, details than there is actually. According to how I read your own posts, you believe Kyle's story because this is how, in your experience, cops behave when they want to intimidate people. Well, it's my experience that teen boys tend to embellish. And Kyle has embellished some things on twitter. That doesn't mean he's a bad kid. I've followed him since he first gained notoriety shortly after the shootings. His prior embellishment wasn't really a real big deal, but it happened. And of course the other side overreacted.

I'm just saying that we shouldn't just assume that it happened exactly the way he said. Most of it probably did. It's bad enough for the things we CAN verify are true. He was called to the security office. And it is very reasonable to conclude it was indeed about him talking about his range day with his dad on social media. That's bad enough, and reason enough, to justify some anger about this. But to assume all the details he gave are true, I'd say is premature.

This is just taking an objective, logical, position. I'm not saying there's anything bad about Kashuv. Embellishing, if he did embellish is a normal thing that kids do. I think he's an admirable young man, but, he's young and thrust into the public eye, and seems to have become politically enamored with some of his heroes on the right. Nothing wrong with that, but it does make him partisan, and that in itself has implications for how he might react to things in a more tribal way.

While not outright called a liar, it's pretty obvious the undertone of the instigator was to "throw shade" at the kid and start an argument. Then, much to no one's surprise, the pack mentality kicked in and put gundawg on the defensive. Maybe the crew can't put together a respectful response and resorts to instigating, or maybe this is how a couple of old men get their kicks on the internet. Regardless, it's become too common a theme to be overlooked and it's shameful they haven't had their reins pulled in. There's a right way and wrong way to debate and goading isn't the right way.

The more I participate and observe, the more I notice the echo chamber effect here.
