I'm surprised that no one is expressing outrage over the scene where she stabs a schoolmate with a pen, or the scene where she pushes one of the girl dancers into the river so she can dance in her place.
There was a time when people would be but we, as a society have become numb to violence. We're bombarded with it so frequently on tv, movies and news that short of a snuff film, violence is not going to cause an uproar today. Is that a good thing? I don't think so but it didn't get this way overnight, there wasn't a flip of a switch. It was slowly introduced in greater and more graphic ways, the exact same thing being attempted with pedophilia in this country.
