Political funny pictures thread, part IV. Bring on the leather!

I guess I'm saying I have a problem with any blanket condemnation of teachers in general, based on the years I put in not only going to public schools, but also as a public school teacher. I have never agreed with the whole "guilt by association" smear tactic idea or the hate it spreads. I've...

      Gun Control Frenzy

The following was sent to Braun, Young and Walorski via email and will mailed snail-mail tomorrow: Dear ( ), As you are probably already aware, there are hundreds of laws already in place that regulate what firearms Indiana citizens may own, how these firearms can be used, and where these...

      Local XD trigger job?

"+" for Belchers. He put a new trigger on my old Model 36 and did a great job. Also, he was quick and the cost was reasonable.

      Midwest Gun Exchange

I've bought several handguns from them. It is a good idea to wait for a sale. Never had an issue. Helpful staff, polite and friendly. I purchased a Ruger LCP at their old place on Lincolnway. The frame chipped at the take-out pin and Ruger sent me a new LCP (Great Customer Service). I had them...

      Gardening 2019...

Raised beds for my tomatoes. Horse manure in the fall over everything. Finely ground egg shells help prevent end rot on tomatoes and help keep some pests away. We seem to do well with peas, green beans and potatoes but, the pure pleasure of picking and devouring that first garden-fresh tomato...

Just Why Are Guns Used In Serious Crimes Ordered Destroyed?

Pretty much not going to happen. You really didn't need to include the lightening strike and the Powerball win in your illustration of the probability of this happening. The chances of me getting a date with Sofia were enough.

Just Why Are Guns Used In Serious Crimes Ordered Destroyed?

Not sure if this could happen with today's technology, but... A bad guy shoots someone, say, in Little Rock and doesn't get caught. He moves to Indy, shoots another person using the same weapon, but gets caught. Time passes and the gun goes to auction, is purchased, sold a few times through...

      Free "Stop the bleed" classes

At my church's Safety & Security team meeting we just completed our second trauma training session last night. The first session focused on tourniquets, injury assessment and how fast an injury can make you dead. Last night we learned about and practiced wound packing(if you can pack your own...

      The Blues Appreciation Thread.

I got to see BB King at the ACC, Notre Dame. He was a class act. ND used to have annual Blues Festivals. Many of the old timer Chicago blues legends used to perform at the Stephan Center on campus. Guys with names like; Mississippi John Hurt or Mississippi Fred McCullough, and of course...
