      Loading 22-250 and 6mm Remington

      Hodgdon manual no. 26, print date 1993, list H335 for 6mm Rem. 70 and 75 gr. bullets starting load 38.0, max 42.0, 3450 fps. I'v never tried H335, My best load for 6mm Rem uses H4350. Same manual 22-250 55 gr. bullet H335 starting 30.5 gr. max 33.0, 3590 fps.

      INDIANA PHEASANT DRAW DEAL

      I was drawn 4-5 years ago. We hunted two good dogs and got our birds. We hunted the Wednesday after the opening Saturday and seen alot of birds. I think Fowler was the nearest town where we hunted.

      bipod or sandbags

      I think you should have bipod just for anyhow. I have a midway front rest but find myself shooting off bipods most of the time.

      Effective range of factory Rem 700 .308 26" Heavy Barrel?

      The rifle you describe should get you to 1000 yards. I see factory rifles shooting that far at Youngs.I think half moa round groups at 100-200 yards should be your goal and work out from there.

      My coon hunting rifle is a 77/22 stainless. It's been used and abused for 10 plus years with no problems.

      Best Cheek pad?

      I had this same question. Tac Ops seemed to have the best reviews of the strap on kind. I ended up making a karsten type. Cut a piece plastic out of a five gal. pale, heated in hot water to bend it over the stock.
