      I think it depends on disparity of force. In other words, you have to meet the threat with an equal or slightly larger amount of force. If the assailant was roughly the same size as you and you can handle yourself fairly well, that situation wouldn't warrant pulling a firearm. If the person...

      Didn't know it had anything to do with toughness. Sure, 45 minutes isn't the end of the world, but an hour and a half drive, plus shooting, when I have a wife and kids that want to spend time with me too, isn't the best solution for me.

      Thanks for the input! Sorry, but I don't know what HNF and ACOE mean though. I used to live in SE Indy, and there actually weren't too many places I knew of to shoot. Only place I went to there was Pop Guns, and it was a small indoor pistol range of 5-6 bays.

      So I love guns, love to shoot guns, and love to obsess over guns. Problem is, I pretty much have nowhere to SHOOT guns. I'm in Martinsville, and the MCC is full, the Paragon CC is full, the club around the Bloomington area is expensive, and the next closest place is Atterbury, 45 minutes away...

      .308 Recoil

      I don't even notice the recoil on my PTR91F. Maybe there's too much adrenaline going or something. Last time I shot it I had a sleeveless shirt on too. It definitely has recoil though, since my shoulder had vertical red lines in the shape of a buttstock on it :)

      Best place to buy an HDTV?

      I'm looking to get a new HDTV, and input lag is a critical factor in deciding which to buy because of video games. Where's the best place I can go to actually test the TVs myself with my Xbox, and then have a return policy of 2 weeks or so in case I'm not happy with the TV?
