      Search for USA made over under

      It will be tough to find a US made over under less than about $1500. Ruger Red labels can be had but they are getting hard to find at anything less than that.

      Any of the US made knives are good. If you read the old hunting and camping books the Ideal model was pretty much the gold standard for fixed blades for the first half of the last century. The Expert model is also very nice but harder to find. There is not a lot of information about the steel...

      If you want an semi auto a Marlin model 60 a bolt gun any of the Remington 580 series and if lever guns are your thing you cant go wrong with a Henry.

      Fur Prices?

      Last week at the Peru auction coons went anywhere from $5 for grease XL's to about $15 for nice dried XXXL's. Coyote from $10 to a high of about $20. Rats $8 to $12 depending on size Beaver $10 to $20 and Mink $12 to $20. All in all prices where pretty good. Seemed like there were more buyers...

      Does Anyone Read books by Capstick, Taylor, etc?

      A lot of these old books were reprinted a few years back. They were publised by St Martins Press and are called the Peter Capstick Library I think these are still pretty easy to find and reasionable to purchase. You can also still buy copies of Jim Corbetts books about hunting maneating tigers...
