Huntingburg (Holland) Gun Show Feb 10th & 11th

Hello old friend. I'll be there Saturday afternoon. Bringing any AKs to sell?

Buying an Anderson lower? Read this.

I consider this normal for Anderson lowers. I've built several and all have been the same. The reason some do not notice is that Magpul grips come with a shorter grip screw as do some LPKs. Personally I have always just used a few washers as spacers just because I've had them laying around...

Can someone explain this as far as private sales are concerned?

:+1: And you can sell your gun to a criminal who doesn't mind signing your bill of sale or printing out his own pink slip.

      WTF of the week(armslist ads)

Looks to me like he has the means to protect himself.

35.7% of all children born to single mother(average,as high as 51%in some areas)

Since when are condoms "impossible to get"? Last I checked they can be bought relatively cheaply from WalMart, almost all grocery and convenience stores, in many public restrooms, etc. I don't really see the excuse for those that do engage in premarital sex for not using one, other than not...

I Have given up the search

It would be difficult for a store to sell a gun if they have no ammo to offer. They should have been upfront with you, but I know of several places that only sell ammo if you buy a gun. Makes sense, really.

      SAVAGE 64F

I picked one up a few months ago for a family member use at an Appleseed. It isn't bad, but is certainly not top of the line. No aftermarket mods for it or anything like that. If you want a basic semi-auto .22 for less than $150 you can't really go wrong with it. You get what you pay for.

      AR or Bolt Action?

ARs have come down in price since Sandy Hook. I have recently seen 3 in the past few months at Jasper Wal Mart. I would go ahead and buy an AR. Eventually buy your bolt gun, because you know the "evil military baby killing sniper rifles" will eventually be on the ban list. Right now I...

WTS: Sawed Off 20 Gauge Shotgun & Ammo

As long as the two conditions are met (which he claims they are), it is legal. Minimum 18" barrel length and 26" overall length. It's good to go.

17 year old kid shot dead by Neighborhood Watch "Captain"

That is my understanding. So does it really matter that he smoked marijuana or used other goofy means to get high (as MANY teens that age have done)? Okay. I was hoping that wasn't what you were trying to say. I believe it's pretty tragic from both angles. Would have been best if it never...

This may be a far drive for you, but Sugar Ridge in Winslow, IN has a gun range. Separate rifle and pistol ranges I am told. DNR: Sugar Ridge

17 year old kid shot dead by Neighborhood Watch "Captain"

So by your standards, anyone who smokes marijuana and/or takes over the counter meds improperly deserves to die? I'm not really picking a side in this case, because we really don't know all the facts. But to say it is a good thing that someone who used "drugs" lost his life sounds insane to...

      What's your preferred 1911 rounds?

I have the same 1911. Only thing I stay away from is Winchester White Box. About 1 in 4 won't feed correctly. Everything else works great - PMC, Federal, Remington HPs, Hornady HPs, etc.

      Price gouging

Wouldn't you consider ammo a rarity right now?
    16. jLr

      Price gouging

I don't buy many knives, so of course not! Gouging only applies to things that I buy.

No drill sling needed for Ruger 10/22

The barrel band mount is kind of a PITA. You will need a file and about an hour to get it to fit where the barrel band tightens down. I had to shave a little metal off of the mount and a little plastic off the band. Then you still have to drill into the stock for the other one. Looking back...

The Great Ammo Bubble of 2013: popping soon

There is another scenario too. Let's say I need .45 ammo. Wal Mart has 9mm, but no .45. I'm gonna buy the 9mm even though I don't need it, flip it, then use that money to buy an inflated box of .45. It isn't like everyone buying ammo is in it for profit. Even if they were, who cares? You...

      .22 Ammo

I usually don't make a special trip. If I pass a Wal Mart, or I'm close, I stop. Typically there is less than a 25% chance they will have something I need in stock, so no special trip is warranted. You just have to be in the right place at the right time. Hang in there!
