      Beez Combat?

If it's the same people that make the drop-in 10-22 mag and bolt release parts then yes - I've got those. I think I got the parts off Amazon, they're of good quality, the directions could've been better but I doubt you'll read a manual on a bullet stopper. No complaints for this manufacturer...

New Sig M400 enhanced - How ya tell the wife?

If she throws a fit hold up your marriage license and say, "But Dear I have to have a receipt for returns....and I only kept this one." Completely joking. -Dobber

INGO Facelift - Please be prepared for change!

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet because I didn't want to read through 17 pages of 40 posts....At the bottom of each thread, just above the Quick Reply box, is a Quick Navigation box. This used to throw you back into the subforum that you were browsing before you opened the thread you're...

      Ruger .22 LR shaving projectiles.

My sincerest apologies. It was the magazine, specifically the spring. I sent the spring off to an unnamed engineering school to research why this spring specifically violated everything we knew previously about spring shape retention and why keeping this mag loaded compromised the integrity of...

      Ruger .22 LR shaving projectiles.

It was just one mag. I donated all my others to the troop trailer years ago. I already threw it away and don't know the brand but it was translucent so almost for sure not Ruger factory. Also keep in mind I said it was oldddddd. I'm not upset that it failed because of the use and abuse it...

Dear Abby gets letter from gun-hating mother

I don't disagree with Abby about trigger locks or a gun safe. Maintaining a safe home atmosphere is appropriate in addition to proper education at a proper age. The part about finding a new husband is some sacrilegious nonsense. Marriage is a covenant between man, woman, and God. I guess if...

      Ruger .22 LR shaving projectiles.

remauto, feel free not to drop through here again. You're not helping your cause. Anywho, to round it out: I picked up a new BX-25 and did a fit comparison. My old mag (~20 years old) was no longer achieving a hard-lock in the mag well. In comparison I found that the new mag would insert...

      USMC ILBE pack system introduction

Sorry for bringing this thread back from the dead, but I have a clever tip to contribute. I just bought a Gen2 at "The Bunker" in Mishawaka. Great guy, by the way. My bag came without the lid so I bought one on eBay. The lid was gen1 and as mentioned in the OP the buckles are not compatible...

      Ruger .22 LR shaving projectiles.

If it's weak it's due to the thousands of rounds it saw at the hands of boyscouts...not because it's stored loaded. Read an engineering manual. Thanks Cyprant for the advice. Ill likely pick up a few new BX-25 mags and run some rounds through it before calling ruger. -Dobber

      Ruger .22 LR shaving projectiles.

I got my 22 out today to inspect and clean as I periodically do. I encountered a few problems: 1. The weapon was stored chamber open with a mag inserted, as I store most of my rifles. As I pulled the rifle out of the safe the bolt mechanism released and loaded the gun. I see potential risk...

      NFA Trust and the IRS

Duck, Don't forget also that a primary benefit while you're alive is that other trustees can be in legal possession of the item(s) owned by the trust with the same authority as you. This wasn't a major selling point for me and my family situation when I started down this path but I see the...

Magpul MIAD - Poor QA? Bad Fit.

Thanks guys. I was just going to leave it but the more I think about it the more I'm annoyed. With so much money in a rifle I want things to fit properly. I'm not after perfection - this gun will see dirt, mud, and regular training exercises. I don't want to start off from a bad place...

      O-Light M20

I have a Surefire P?X on my HD Shotgun and wanted to try something different. I picked up an OLight M20 for my new rifle. I like it a lot. I wont bother posting or even linking to reviews of the light because it's been done. I simply wanted to say that the light is quality, the fore-thought...

Magpul MIAD - Poor QA? Bad Fit.

I got my Magpul MIAD today. I ordered from an Amazon retailer and the item was new/fresh in box. All of the accessories and interchangable parts were there. I went with the MIAD for the handle inserts - I needed a place to hold my approved form 4 because this rifle is an NFA-regulated short...

      Bifold Wallet Recommendations

Were you to buy a wallet in near recent history you might have seen that the old adage rings true: "They don't make them like they used to." -Dobber

      Bifold Wallet Recommendations

I've had my current wallet for a little over three years. Like you, I bought it while my wife was shopping but, *gasp*, it's from COACH. Yes, the purse store. It's a bifold design, very robust, with 4 slots on the right, 3 on the left plus a 4th that holds your tuck-in ID flipper. The...

      NFA Trust and the IRS

I'm not a CPA or Tax Attorney, but generally speaking the IRS is only concerned about taxing income; not property gains. As long as your trust isn't receiving income from property sales I think you're OK. -Dobber

open carrier had gun taken at Valparaiso Walmart?

Am I really the only one with a legitimate idea of what happened here? The guy obviously sat down for a pulled pork sammich just prior to stopping through Walmart. His belly being bigger than usual spilled over the side of his belt creating an awful chaffing situation. He removed his handgun...
