I don't have any pics of my dixie chopper, but lots of tractors. Kubota is the first one I bought new, 7040 used as a utility, and runs both my green bean and sweet corn harvesters.
We have a pair of these, one is 2wd only
This is my sweet corn sprayer
I have been watching this closely. This would put growers my size out of business, IMHO. It would make a culture for huge corporate growers, already huge companies like monsanto even bigger, and kill all of us medium size regional growers.
I suspect you will be way over your GVWR, which if you were in a wreck might cause you a major headache. Truck will haul it, but I bet you will be on the rear bump stops. This is the reason I have air bags on my 2500hd, if it doesn't look overloaded it isn't!!!!
You are going to have to check locally for many of your answers. I have a 1500 gallon 2 chamber septic tank, and 5-200' fingers on my gravity feed septic system, cost 6800. Additional cost is nothing until the time the tanks needs cleaned, but with proper care that might be never. You ground...
We had a cargo trailer stolen from our locked business lot. Never turned up. Trailers are much easier to re-title then cars and trucks. Thank goodness when they got ours we had just taken out kettle corn popper out, it was worth much more than the trailer!!
Good luck in the search. I will...
I know they use some local meat for supply, but not so sure about the produce. I have heard pretty straight a lot of the produce comes from the wholesale suppliers, so that means its the same you can get at the grocery and definitely not local . The organic produce growers around here do not...
So what is everyone's thoughts on putting 22lr through a converted AR and halo. Gemtech told me it was good to go, that they had put 15k 22lr rounds through at halo. What I don't want is to "have" to purchase another can!! Is the better safe than sorry the best approach?
We have been selling corn from southern indiana and $5 a dozen. I start picking ours at the end of the week. Still have about 10 acres to plant, and have about 9 acres in silk currently. I have all bi-color sh2 varieties.
Back on topic, if this really bothers you, I would go have a heart to heart with the boss. I know that I expect a lot out of my employees, especially considering many are college students. I want them there at 5 am Saturday mornings, sober and not hungover, and daylight the rest of the week...
I only worked the first half of the day today. I picked 60 bushels of green beans, and some random other stuff, then took my 4 year old to see toy story. I like having Sunday's off for family time, but with vegetables coming in season it will be 7 days a week until Halloween!
As an employer, I try to take into consideration the wants of my employees. This time I year I work seven days, and so do many of my employees. I called in a crew for 9:30 in the morning, I am starting at 7. I ask each one of them if the wanted to work, or if they wanted to attend church. It...
