John Kerry - I was a little behind him but I did hear about him and the BS he pulled. Always taking pictures of himself, posing, etc. I heard he was an A-Hole slacker. I spent my time on the Mekong and several other streams. I received my campaign ribbons and some stitches in my hand, no...
I have to agree. I carry a G27 for concealed and I carry a S&W 642 as a BUG. The G27 is too heavy for an ankle holster. I keep trying it but it gets heavy. Deep cover or a BUG makes the 380 a not bad caliber considering the ammunition available today. Glock refused to sell the G25 in the...
I learned that phrase while working in Australia. I want to say hello to all INGO members. I moved to this area to retire after a career in the military and then spending time working as a consultant in some of the armpits of the world. I came for the tropical weather and beaches. Can someone...
I have the NRA Rules for Firearm Safety printed on the back of my business card (I am a FFL & own/operate a shooting sports business). All my customers and potential customers receive my card with the safety rules to be read. Safe firearm handling is critical for all. You did the best thing...
If you ever have to use a firearm for defense, the firearm will make a sound you might never have heard before. The loud sound is not a bang but the firearm shouting LAWYER. I have always had insurance through my work but I also carry a personal liability policy for such an occurrence. Be...
Can anyone comment about the quality of the rifles being manufactured by PTR? They are launching the PTR 91 at the Shot Show next week. Preliminary information indicate it is a good substitute for the "hard to get" HK91. I do not have much experience with PTR. I applaud them for leaving...
Red Jacket Firearms did it on a Saiga 12 gauge. They catalog the suppressor as #BMF-S-12 for $900 (plus necessary BATFE fees). I remember the question "Why"? The answer was because the customer saw it in a movie (No Country for Old Men) and wanted it. Yes it can be done but............
I read the question the same manner the WOLMAN did. I read the sender to be the buyer. He must have a FFL dealer in his state handle the transaction. The interstate transfer must be FFL to FFL. Otherwise this would be an illegal transaction and every FFL should tell you this immediately.
If...
Unless you develop the proper shooting skills, caliber selection is not that important. I carry a 40S&W. I have used .357mag & .38 spcl (in the good old days), 9mm, and 45acp. Some shoot great others can be a challenge. Hitting the target is vital. A deer can be killed with a 22LR (I don't...
I carried a 686 - 6in for several years before converting over to Glock. I bought my 686 when the transition occurred. It the 69 44mag L Frame would as nice a trigger, this could be a very interesting handgun. I got out of 44 mag years ago but this could bring about a renewed interest in the...
They will be on display next week in Las Vegas at the Shot Show. I plan to check them out as I have been complaining to Glock for several years for a small frame 380/9mm
I use gloves sold by 5.11 Comfortable & keep my fingers warm. Mechanix gloves are good but I have only worn Under Armour and not used their gloves. Mechanix gloves didn't seem to work well in wet snow or rain.
I plan to pick one up to compare and contrast it to the CrossBreed I currently use. The price is right but I have a very large box of holsters that I have purchased over the years that were "priced right". I'll be looking for some reports from fellow shooters before I recommend them to anyone.
Used LaRue mounts on several of the weapons. Never had a failure to date.
There are many excellent tactical mounts available to choose but I highly recommend those made by the guys at LaRue.
Use CLP or any other Mil Spec oil rated for low temperature. There are many excellent choices. Carrying CCW will keep you handgun warm enough. You cellular telephone has a bigger problem with the cold. Consider that a LEO on duty carries his or her firearm exposed to the elements knowing it...
Roger that. The soft gun cases hold moisture (Moisture + time + ferrous metal = rust). We use the silicone oiled gun socks or the treated paper and then vacuum pack the firearm. This has been the storage method used by the USN & Marines, and the US Army for years. The soft case is good for...
He placed his head firmly up his arse when writing his last column. I read it when published and wondered how long it would be before there were incoming rounds with his name on them. It didn't take very long. He deserves all he gets. Now he whines to the New York Times that he is losing all...
