Does anyone know what happened to the shop in Franklin that used to do hydro coating? Or is there another shop that does this? A friend of mine had a stock done in a camo pattern that had a 'rubbery' feel and it was awesome. Thanks
got a quick question, is it possible to chenge the barrel on a browning BLR?
I have a BLR in .308 and was wondering if I could get a barrel for .358 winchester and put on it since the cases are both .308 based. could be a neat deer gun since it was my grandfathers or it may be crazy talk
thanks
Just curious if anyone has ever heard of a hollywood press. I have one that was my grandfathers and it's a tank. Weighs a ton but is smoooth as silk to operate. The only down side is the holes in the turret are huge and need bushings to fit new dies. If anyone would know where to get some I...
Hope this is the right place for this question. I know a fella that almost considers his purchases from midway a monthly bill. Just wondering how many others are practically on a first name basis at their favorite firearm related store?
A friend of mine brought over his M&P 45c this weekend and let me shoot it. To my suprise I actually liked the dang thing. Figured I would ask others opinoins. What does everyone on here think about them?
Thanks.
Looking for a ball park figure of how many rounds have to go down the pipe of a new, very tight, 1911. I recently bought one and can't hardly get it to feed. Finally got it to cycle with LOTS of lube. I feel nothing is wrong with the gun, it just needs broke in.
I recently bought a 1911 with a 1 piece guide rod and I'll be danged if I can figure out how to get the thing apart. There is a collar around the rod which is what the barrel bushing sits against. I can get the collar to push down for the barrel bushing to pivot but the bushing winds up hitting...
What is the shooting sport called where they use hand guns to shoot targets at different stations and in different positions while being timed? I've seen it on tv and it looks fun. Are there any of these in the central Indiana area? How about a list of rules or guidelines? Just curious and...
Went hunting last night in Marion County (urban deer zone), and saw a buck right off the bat. Nice 8ptr came in at about 15 yds, and wouldn't leave. He was nice but not nice enough to drag through 300yds of standing corn. Over the course of 20min he came back 4 times staring me down each time...
Wanting to trade a CZ 75 B in .40 cal and a S & W mod 10-6 revolver in .38 special. Not sure of the round count on either one. CZ has the box, 2 mags, and a nylon holster. The cz has minor bluing wear since it was my main carry piece. The .38 has minor bluing wear and minor dings on the grips...
How long does everyone think permission to hunt/fish private land lasts? I have permission at 2 or 3 different places and I make it a point to have a face 2 face with the owner every year to make sure the permission still stands, if any rules have changed, or if anyone else has permission to...
just curious if anyone knows what in the hell is going through peoples heads that trespass. last night I had to run off someone fishing on my land. when he asked what my name was i told him "the property owner your standing on". The only thing he said to that was "i'll leave". he knew he was...
wonderin what things people have found in the woods. so far ive found a tree stand (not mine but on my property :xmad:), screw in tree steps, fishing poles, a knife, people ( not invited :xmad:) , and a keg with about 20 dixie cups around it :40oz: never know what you'll find
When does everyone move or put up their tree stands, if at all? I've got 4 up for this year so far, one that never moves and 3 that move depending on what crop is in the area. I usually try to have mine in place by the middle of August. Just curious how others went about it.
If a person wanted to start handgun training, where would he start? NRA or other organizations? How many levels are there to complete? Not that I'm bad with a weapon, but like anything else in life, there's always more to learn. Thanks.
