      if you were building a 6" 1911 what caliber would you chose?

      I would vote for the 460 Roland. A 45 caliber with the energy of the 44 magnum, but that's just me.

      marlin or Remington

      What about the Ruger 77/44

      I have the camo stainless version. I have to agree with Hopper the recoil is quite heavy (I am 6'3" & 260) and after 6 or so shots my shoulder had enough.
