John from Active Self Protection breaks down the video on his YouTube channel. Needless to say, he didn't have a lot of good things to say about the officers' firearms handling or first aid skills.

On a side note: are these officers in a romantic relationship? It seems odd that he calls her "baby" close to a dozen times immediately after the incident.

I think there is going to be more to this story as it develops.
I'm not buying cops playing Russian Roulette.

I have to agree that there is likely more to this, as departments like to omit really, really bad facts.

Or, maybe the three of them were really just that dumb.

What also doesn't add up is the two on-duty officers and the off-duty victim officer were all at the one guy's apartment, while two of them were supposed to be working.

It is clear that a lot of detail has been left out.

It is a PR nightmare for a city that has a police image problem already.

Too true! And this might be kind of a circular problem, cops do dumb stuff, PR is bad, so can't attract and keep the best, so dumb stuff continues, PR is bad.

Unfortunately, the dumb stuff these guys can do is more likely to lead to a loss of freedom or life for those who are unfortunate enough to cross their paths.
