But I like dogs, so I'll look for the Heelers and Kelpies.

Haven't you seen those videos where sharks beach themselves to grab a seal snack? They have sal****er crocs too... and a particularly deadly jellyfish like creature. As for dogs, dingos can be dangerous too.

Yep, I do know that. That's why I said "knee deep," rather that "waist deep." My biggest fear in the world, after midget Nazi clowns, are man-eating animals.

Spent a year in Melbourne and Sydney in '74 (I'm that old). I loved it! At that time they absolutely loved Americans. They still remember how the US saved them from Japaneses invasion.
Cities where very clean with very very low crime.
Remember, the seasons are reversed so you will be going in fall.
Watch out for the beer, it is much higher alcohol content (3X).

If I win the lottery, I will buy a winter home near Melbourne.
