Well, I posted these on another thread so I thought I would go ahead and post them here to offer as trade cartridges. These are 6.5mm Dutch, I have brass and steel cased. I was told that the Germans captured a bunch of Dutch machine guns so they made the steel case ammo during WW2 so they could use the machine guns. Most of the headstamps are 30's and 40's.

Im on the lookout for 32-20 brass that I can reload. I only have about 20, and it would be nice to shoot more than that.

    Tatic05,
I have 50 rounds of factory loaded 32-20 ammo. Don't know if you ever get down near the Fountain county area.

Does lack of patina devalue ammunition? Obviously polishing newer common cartridges is not an issue but how about older cartridges?

I polished an old .41 short rim fire, and it didn't make the metal look bad at all. I'm still not 100% sure I like polishing the older cartridges because they don't stay polished for very long

Here is a sampling of the 30-06 ammunition I got from Fullmag. Most is early 1940's and a few are 1950's all US arsenal production. From left to right tracer, frangible, AP, Gallery and ball. The ball rounds are DEN 42 head stamp which I think means they are from the Denver Arsenal. If anyone has any information to contribute I would be grateful.

Was able to get some .50 BMG API rounds, and some 7.62x45, and do some trading with wolfhound at the Richmond gun show today! It was small, but it was cool!

It was nice meeting you Saturday. Thanks for the 50 BMG and 300 Win Magnum. I thought the gun show was good. There was some oddball ammo to be found. Me and TheBoss930 split the only 2 boxes of 7.65x45 to be found. I also picked up some 6.5x54MS ammo. Similar to the 6.5 Dutch but slightly longer case and no rim. Also found a vendor selling 8mm Mauser ammo for 3 dollars per stripper clip. Couldn't say no. I think it was Turkish 1939.

Great thread, guys! I don't really collect cartridges, specifically, but I do have a box with a round from every caliber I've owned, and there are some oddballs in there! I've also got a few old boxes I've picked up over the years. I'll try and get some pics to add to the info posted here.

Here are the boxes I have on display. Some are empty, some partial and some are full.

This pic has some interesting ones to me. A box of empty (from the factory) 16 ga brass hulls, the two red paper 12 ha shells are no.2 magnums. I figure those were loaded in a side by side for defensive use for years. The brass shell is an 8 ga shell. And the lone .32/20 shell? It's a factory high velocity round loaded specifically for the Winchester model 92.

Very nice ammo box collection and display! The 8 gauge shell is particularly interesting. I have 8 gauge on my wish list. Along with about a hundred other things. :D
