Depends on what the principle is

Some have the speed and the right combinations
If you can't take the punches, it don't mean a thing

They made hypocrite judgements after the fact
But the name of the game is be hit and hit back

    great song, by the way

I remember when Outback used to serve good food. The one in Lafayette sucks donkey ass, and when I used to go there the floor in the men's room was always so slippery that I almost fell down several times. I called it to the attention of the manager each time, yet nothing was done. You'd think someone running a restaurant would understand that you can't mop a tile floor with dirty, greasy water and expect it to be safe for walking after it dries.

The same poor quality of food is served by all of the Outbacks I've tried in Indianapolis in the last 5 years.

Now that I know they have a corporate policy that indicates that I am not welcome, I am glad that I no longer patronize them.

It's scary that sheeple like that can--and do--vote. Our country has a lot de-programming ahead of it.

As for surprise about "outback" being a GFZ, remember that the outback is in AUSTRALIA

“Ward said the chain told him “there was another customer that was ‘scared for her life’ who was seated across” from the couple, and said “she was afraid because ‘police are shooting people.’”

According to Ward’s post, “This customer went on to demand to be escorted to her vehicle out of fear of being shot.”

For those who aren't aware, this reaction to police is pretty common now days. I deal with it all the time. Not the restaurant thing, but statements like the one quoted above I get to hear pretty much daily from people I'm dealing with that are "terrified".

Tell them what I tell them about bears.
If a bear came into my campsite, I'd be afraid of it. But I wouldn't approach it to tell it I was afraid of it.
Since they're approaching you, they must not be afraid. They're just virtue signaling.

Just don’t take your gun in, they no likey guns! If you are seen carrying a firearm in the Avon TR, you will be asked to leave. Watched a whole table be escorted from the building for OC a couple of years back.

Nothwithstanding the “ a Conservation Officer in the state of Indiana has the greatest arrest powers of any law enforcement officer” theory, I see no reason why a CO needs to wear his service revolver when he is having lunch with his wife. One might argue that he isn’t really “on duty” if he has chosen to separate himself from his duty vehicle and enjoin himself with a family member.

That’s the most extreme argument that might be made -

With that being said, I do agree that the alarmist snowflake cited concern for her safety reference the armed officer so she could promote her own social justice liberal agenda. I suspect the ideologues who promote this way of thinking were reveling in the free publicity.

In uniform is just insane! I want to know who the manager is that thought it was a good idea to ask a uniformed officer to leave over the woman complaining. And beyond that why someone higher up hasn't stepped in. I feel like this has to make them look bad to the public in general.

Never underestimate the abilities of stupid people in large numbers.

My vote is "no". Here is why:

There is a social contract in play. I expect to sit down and enjoy my meal until I am ready to leave on my own accord (within reason). You are expected to provide service and the food/beverage I pay for. As long as we both hold up our end of the bargain, the proprietor gets paid. (and I get a full belly)

If you decide that for some reason that I am suddenly no longer welcome in the establishment through no fault of my own, (im acting lawfully) and I am not disrupting anyone else's meal by being obnoxious, etc then the contract is cancelled and I leave when asked; right then and there, with no further interaction with your staff. You said go, so I go. Staying to pay a bill for services not fully rendered means I am not going, which I was specifically told to do. If I stay and take the time to pay, I'm not vacating the property as requested and therefore are subject to criminal trespass if I stay a moment longer. Go ahead. Call the cops and tell them you told me to leave and that I'm obeying your command to the letter, promptly. And forget the doggy bag for what is left on my plate or hasnt come from the kitchen yet. I didnt come for carry out, so that's not a legit end-run to get paid either.

Not my problem you didnt notice I was carrying when I walked through the door. Also not my problem that you dont have a "no guns" sign up and cave to some snowflake that wets themselves at the mere sight of a lawfully carried holstered firearm.

So whats next? Asking a leather vest wearing Danny Trejo-type person and his equally tattoo and leather festooned comrades to leave because they make Susie soccer mom nervous for no other reason than their attire and gregarious laughter? Or how about the "colored person" that great grandma (slightly senile) decides shouldnt be at the table next to her a she dines with the rest of the extended family? Where does the intolerance/insanity end?

Hmmm... so just as I'm finishing the last bite, my shirt "accidentally" rides up, exposing my sidearm... This could work! ;)

Exactly the reason why I eat my meals in my squad car. So that I don't have to deal with dumbasses getting all butthurt over me taking a break, spending a few minutes with my family, or carrying a gun in their "gun free" establishment.
