Grandmaster
You make me want to have my own restaurant so you can enjoy lunch in peace without dumbasses and ******* having combination heart attack/strokes due to your presence.
Thanks, I appreciate that.

...and demanded to be escorted to her car...to provide other unarmed people to hide behind no doubt. The manager should have told her she was free to leave and her demands were not part of his job description and then comped the LEO his meal and thanked him for his presence in uniform.
I cringe when I hear of police departments in other states forbidding officers to be armed when off duty, even if they are in uniform. I'm glad that does not exist in Indiana.
A lone, uniformed police officer who is visibly unarmed would seem to be an almost irresistible target to some violent felons.
I was in there yesterday with one of the K9 guys and didn't see you.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion.Personal opinion.
If a LEO is off duty he should only carry where us regular folks can carry. Off duty is off duty. .
In uniform after or before work is a different or even a quick bite to eat somewhere while on duty with family.

there's a saying that goes along with that too.... they are like........ , and they all stink.
I can figure out who you are not working with, I saw him and his wife last weekend, I believe. stopped in and sat for a lunch break. helped me out with a customer, while on lunch break.
I would not say ZERO but it is pretty low nevertheless. A sentiment that I try to pass along to new officers that I have the privilege to train. I'm not alone i this either.Likewise - and, by an order of magnitude moreso, according to available statistics - a non-uniformed civilian carrying a properly holstered firearm presents zero cause for alarm.
Until people give up their irrational fears of law-abiding people (uniformed and non-uniformed), and start focusing on rational fear of criminals, we will continue to have such problems.

I understand where you are coming from. However, as professionals, we will do our jobs regardless. So when one of these restaurants is being robbed the responding police should stop responding because, after all, it is a gun free zone and someone might be shot by the police? Puhlease?
I didn't know that. Hope it works out for you bro. That would be a good fit for you.I've been hanging out with Scott J. Hoping to get over to that unit permanently.
