      Rebarreling a 250-3000 Savage...is it possible?

      it might be worth something as a collectors item. Maybe post the make.model and pictures. Someone might trade you a rifle in a more common caliber for the lever action as is rather than re-barreling. It can be re-barreled but it will be costly and ruin any collectors value.

      The extractors are hard to come by, might try Mark Penrod (260) 982-8385 or markpenrod@kconline.com. If he replaces the bolt he will have to have head space checked. If he cant find one and is in a bind I might be able to loan him a 06 ready to go with ammo. I do have my Fathers old 721 30-06...
