Another idea is if she has a female friend that is interested in learning to shoot, too, signing up for a ladies only class to do together is a fun way for them both to learn. 4 of us learned in this fashion. It was a blast.
If your wife has small hands, I found that the Glock 26 Gen 4 felt more comfortable in my hand than the Glock 26 Gen 3. Being able to switch out for the flush backstrap on the Gen 4 was a better fit for me.
An LTCH isn't required. If a participant doesn't have one, you just have a copy of your criminal history report submitted. If you have an LTCH, then a report isn't required.
The class is excellent.
Finding the ammo for it? ......:(
My 76 year old father applied for his back in January and did the electronic fingerprinting. He is still waiting, but I love the fact that he thought it was important and applied for the license.
I really thought I would like the Ruger LCP because of its size. Luckily a friend let me shoot his before i ever purchased one, and I learned I didn't like it at all. So definitely renting a few models at a shooting range would be valuable for your wife to determine what she prefers.
I ended...
I'm just wanting to make sure I understand, BravoMike.......are you saying that the heavier trigger pull of the DAO is easier to shoot more accurately or that the striker fired is more accurately shot?
