I had a friend in College tell me over and over
"You don't need a gun because the police will protect you"
I informed her that the job of the police is to investigate the crime AFTER it has been committed. Did she see any police just hanging out in my apartment?
I know I overpaid, but I was just so happy to see it! It's Hornady Custom - says so on the box. I went to the Hornady site, and I can't find it now. Limited run?
Has anyone seen new 303 savage ammo anywhere else?
I'll throw my hat in with Ruger. Apparently my Dad's favorite handguns and every one of them has been solid and reliable. The Mark I has been my favorite, but the Single Six is right up there. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the Ruger options.
I have a very dear friend. He's the minister who married my husband and I. Since my father passed away we've been talking quite a bit about my Dad, and about the guns I've inherited.
My Friend has never fired a gun. He says he would like to, just once. He asked if I would take him to the range...
I'm trying to decide which gun I really want to carry.
Among my collection are a Makarov and a .22 Phoenix. I know, I know, the Phoenix is a junk gun, but my dad and I put several hundred rounds through it without any problems. I'm also pretty good with it - much better than I am with anything...
Among the items I got from my father is a loose cylinder. It would appear to be from a 22 of some kind.
I have a .357 Blackhawk (probably not), a .22LR Single Six (solid maybe) and a .22LR Bearcat (not sure). What do you guys think? How can I tell what it belongs to?
I can take it apart alright. Putting it back together can be a bear. Kind of a 3D jigsaw puzzle. Sometimes I can get it all on the first try, sometimes I have to put it away in pieces and come back later (when I've calmed down).
I wish my dad had showed me when I was twelve, or I wish I had paid...
Just wondering. I'm really enjoying my Mark I (until I have to clean it). I saw a Mark III in the shop the other day and wondered what the difference was between models.
Thank you.
