I carry IWB, but I have a couple Comp-tac paddle holsters for my 1911s i use at the range and USPSA/IDPA matches, and I find them far superior to any other paddle holsters I've tried. Instead of one middle hook they have 2 outside hooks, so the paddle is much more stable and also easier to take...
Mostly, I want a gun I can carry in my pocket on hot days when a t shirt won't quite hide something IWB, but I want something I can shoot well. Right now I'm leaning towards a Kahr or a Sig 238. I've been trying pocket carry with my 22 LCR, and I really hate that giant grip. My MK9 is...
I have a Slidefire stock kit (stock, grip block, and matched buffer tube) used once, shot 100 rounds out of my 9mm AR. This thing is a hoot, but I never use it. No pics.
$225 shipped or $215 ftf in Evansville.
I have a Sig 1911 Traditional Compact that I carry a lot. In my opinion, Sig makes the best 1911 for the money right now. The mags they come with are premium Tripp Research mags, you get 2 of them, and mine has been accurate and reliable. I have one of the original Oregon Kimbers, and the newer...
Personally, I generally don't carry guns I hate shooting. I even go for a little extra weight (my most common EDCs are both small but steel-framed guns) because i think the discomfort is worth the increased shootability. Having said that, the one gun I've owned that was painful to shoot was an...
That's definitely on the short list as well. One thing I found about the LCR vs j frames is that holster choice is much more limited for the Ruger. J frames have been around so long that just about any holster made is available for them.
Can't speak for the other guy, but for me I shot the LCR well, it was just painful when I did. I also have a 22 LCR and I practiced a lot with that. I'd rather not buy a second gun to practice with, though.
I had it in my laptop bag, but don't worry, I had a different one on my belt. I have a Kahr MK9 and I really like the smooth trigger but I consider it a belt gun. I've owned an all steel j frame and didn't mind the weight as much in my pocket. Another reason why I'm looking at others is that my...
I had my Ruger LCR stolen from my car last night:xmad:, so I'm in the market for a new pocket gun. I wear cargo shorts or pants most of the time, so I've got plenty of room in my front pocket, and though the LCR was nice to carry it wasn't much fun to shoot. Anybody carry something other than a...
There's probably some importation problem because most of the good low-end side-by-side receivers are coming from Turkey these days. I don't know all the ins & outs of 922(r) BS, though.
