      I'm located in central Indiana also. And I'm not having much luck either. Someone said they read online that the drought caused them to move out. But I've been hunting around water and still not finding them.

      Same here I shoot cheap slugs out of my 870 mag and have never had any issues. Great inexpensive deer gun.

      My only comment would be if ur hunting where they have been called before u may have problems with a electronic call. There are people using electronic calls all the time in ny area and the coyotes are not responding like they used to. I believe its the rapacious sounds they are figuring out. I...

      coyote hunting....day or night

      I do most of my calling in the evening about an hour or two before dark. Depending in how many spots I want to try. I've had more luck with this then at night. Mainly because there's no guessing on whether u hit them or not. It pretty obvious when u can c them and aren't trying to find them with...

      Where & How did you learn how to trap/snare?

      I took up hobby trapping about 5 years ago and love. I had the same advice from my father as the other guys. Just grab a few traps and give it a try. I now have bought about 40 traps of various sizes and trap all winter.

      Cool experience calling Coyotes last night

      I've tried two or three electronic calls borrowed from friends. Never had any luck. Then drive 15 min. To the next location used my mouth call and had a dead coyote in 10 min. At 50 yards. Not sure of the problem but I think electronic calls have to much repetition.
