Indiana Members Credit Union now "no guns allowed"

IMCU College Park has new electronic double doors with a metal detector inside and a sign stating that those with weapons will be denied entrance. Teller informed me that soon all of their branches will be likewise modified. I have been with IMCU since they were Indiana Federal CU (30+ years)...

      Clearance sale at Point Blank

I'm not able to get in there until late next week. Anybody been in to see how good their handgun specials are?

Any OC issues in Terre Haute?

Going to meet the wife's kinfolk for lunch Saturday in Terre Haute--probably at Red Lobster. I'm an ISU man (1982-1986) but haven't visited there since I started carrying. Generally speaking, how are the attitudes there toward a clean-cut fellow with a Sig on his belt?

ABC's "Last Man Standing" season premier

Did anybody see last night's episode about little Boyd's "finger pistol"? This show is so good (read: Conservative) I'm surprised the network has kept it going. Mike's Outdoor Man blog on the 2nd Amendment was brilliant.

Rossi 877 DA revolver lockup issues

Took my recently-acquired Rossi .357 snubby to the range for the first time the other day. I experienced frequent times when, after firing, the gun would not allow me to either pull the trigger DA-style or cock the hammer manually. I had to open the cylinder and replace, turning the next round...

Carry at Indpls Museum of Art?

I've been a supporting member of the IMA for years, but I've never inquired about their official policy. Anyone here know?

Rossi 877 SS - needs good cleaning, rust removal

Went to Bible study the other night. Came home with a gun. My group leader, like myself a gun owner, bought this Rossi .357 Mag snubbie at a gun show some time back and is looking to sell it. He let me borrow it to run some rounds through, which I have not had a chance to do yet. The...

G&A 2014 state rankings for gun owners: Indiana #24?

Best States for Gun Owners 2014 | Guns & Ammo Guns & Ammo has published its annual ranking of the best states for gun owners. I'm surprised that we are pretty much halfway down the list; thought sure we'd fugure higher.

First time with first gun today!

Inaugurated my new Sig P250 with 50 rounds of steel-case Tula ammo; two FTFs. Didn't dip into my Blazer Brass today. Gun functions flawlessly and is very comfy. Thanks, BGF and Monica on the range!

First time to carry in public (Do you remember yours?)

I'm 50 years old, and a new handgun owner. I'm taking my cat to the vet Thurs. morning; thinking this simple errand would be a good first exercise in public carry. My new Sig P250 holstered on my belt and (hopefully) discreet under my shirt. What did some of you do to warm up to having a...

      Thank you, Quentin!

Brought home my first handgun today--the Sig P250 listed in this week's new arrivals. Thanks to Quentin for the friendly service!

      More Sigs for Southpaws!

I've just about settled on the Sig Sauer P250 as my first carry piece. Most attractive for me is the easy-to-rack slide (I don't have a lot of strength in my arms; other brands are just too stiff to operate) with an ambidextrous release--in a very affordable package. I only wish the DA only...

      1st visit today--wonderful experience.

Hadn't fired my Remington Nylon 66 in probably 25 years; put 40 rounds thru it today without a single hiccup. Thanks to Conner for giving the quick inspection, and for showing me some 9mm semi-autos. Thanks also to Carol on the range.
