      Cool Things to Shoot

      I am camping with some buddies this weekend and was looking for some fun inexpensive things to shoot. We have used things in the past like pumpkins and 2 liters of soda. Any other idea’s out there?

      When to start carrying?

      I started Carrying about a year ago. I bought my first Handgun (Ruger P95) About a week after my carry permit came in the mail. not much experience before that but I have put about 5,000 rounds down range since then and took the Overwatch Course P110 - Everyday Pistol.

      Caliber wars redux

      The only help you need in make a choice is what do you personal shoot better. For me its a 9mm. I am a very good shot with any hand gun but with I 9mm I can putt more shots down accurately quicker. Both have the same stopping power if the bad guy is dead.

      :) yes I hear you. I have load not to load the mags all the way. I normally only put 5 rounds per. As I originally stated this time the new shooter was 15 years old and has no concept of cost of ammo.

      I love taking people to the range with me. I think it is our duty as gun owners to teach those who are not. I took a young man with me to the range yesterday (15 year old). He had such a good time. by the end of the day his quote was "I need to get a job so I can save up to buy a hand gun"...

      .380 or 9mm for pocket carry?

      It all depends what you are doing I guess. When I am working my late nights cleaning I walk around a lot I carry LPC .380 but during the day when I am setting at my desk job all day I carry my P95 9mm.
