      Undercover Karaoke with Jewel

Weird. I saw this on line tonight, totally enjoyed it, posted a link on Facebook, then made a stop at INGO. In the break room there is the very same video. Wow it really is a small world after all. So rather then just observing I felt compelled to make a note since no one from INGO has heard...

I took the plunge into the non-smoking world...

It's about the toughest addiction out there, but you CAN beat it. I started smoking when I went into the Navy 38 years ago and smoked at least a pack a day for 22 years. I quit cold turkey. Seriously it took less then 4 days for the worst part of the cravings to go away. But I kept reaching for...

      Indy 500 seats

I'll be sitting on the front porch of my buddy's house that faces the pagoda, enjoying the street scene, drinking Sam's Summer Ale, grillin' some brats and listening to Scott Dixon win again. Always fascinating watching the ebb and flow of humanity - seeing the very best event Indianapolis has...

      Eagle Scout's penalty stands

What a joke. This is so typical of a society gone mad. The knife was in a glove compartment and for that "offense" he gets a month suspension? It's nuts. Hope the prankster had a real good laugh.

      New INGO gear suggestions?

Some of us who work for a living (I think there's still a few) have to wear ID badges in a non gun-friendly environment. I think a tasteful lanyard would be a big seller.

How to avoid survey people in the mall

For some reason, they seem to avoid me. They ALWAYS seem uncomfortable approaching me. Not sure why. I'm pretty much a normal guy. Some of you have met me at the 1500, did I look all threatening or anything? Should I be concerned? Am I in trouble? Is it ME??? OH NO! MALL SURVEY SLUGS WON'T...

Guns you’ve owned, that you’d never buy again (and why?)

Taurus PT22 with the nifty flip up barrel. I managed to break the firing pin. They did repair it as expected and it worked fine right up to the point I traded it. I blame my self - I knew it was questionable but bought it anyway. Lesson learned.

What do YOU want to buy at the 1500?

I'm hoping I can purty up my Bersa with a set of walnut grips. There's usually a couple grip guys lurking around there. Also might pick up a scope for my plinker project rifle. Other then that I'll just putz around like always - really enjoy the hot gun babes that hang at the show....

      Scouts

My three sons went through the scouting program. I was a Webelos leader, an assistant scoutmaster,a committee member, and taught several merit badges. When I was young I never had the opportunity to participate in the scouting program, but as an adult I saw the advantages and encouraged my...

Appears Unfired- To Shoot or Not To Shoot?

I can appreciate both sides of this argument, ah discussion. I feel I would have to at least shoot it once. Firearms are made to shoot, I really don't think a properly maintained firearm would lose any significant value by using it for it's intended purpose.

Farmer shot in robbery in England

All in the name of protecting citizens.... This has never worked anywhere, yet the political correctness movement continues to run amok.

      INGO AR-15 Open House - Sunday, January 31st, 2010

I would like to attend but on that day I will be in Texas for work. If the event goes well, can I assume there might be a second similar event at some point in the future ?

How long before flying will be like this

I see two flying futures - will they actually occur? - who knows... 1. Upon entering the airport everyone will be funneled into lines that will end up at a curtained off area where you will be required to strip naked. You will then be required to walk through a series of sensor machines each...

      2010 predictions

Being the eternal optimist, I humbly submit 7 predictions for 2010... 1. I suspect the economy has not yet bottomed out and there will be increased job loses and layoffs. I really hope I'm wrong. 2. The government will continue to acquire more businesses under the bailout excuse further...

      In Which Group are You?

Officially 56 years old. For the last 10 years or so, my wife needs to remind me of my age. I always think I'm one year younger then I actually am - go figure. I normally don't have trouble with simple math but the age thing seems to be the exception.

Woman caught on tape stealing an 8-year olds' Christmas present!!

Wow, great post! It's good to see you have the technical savvy to bring these losers into the spotlight. This is the kind of video that could easily go virile on YouTube - I'll be watching with a fresh bag of microwave popcorn.

      Buying a snowblower? Read this.

I have an old MTD made around 7 years ago. I actually acquired it last summer in an interesting end of estate sale in my neighborhood. It had not run for about 2 years, had gas in the tank (along with Stabil) and fired like a BIG DOG on the second pull. Life is sometimes very sweet.
