Sikh U.S. Army captain allowed to wear beard, turban in uniform

As long as it doesn't impede combat and other routines, then I see no issue with it personally. As the Sikhs have shown their capability both in combat and as allies then I further support it.

      Sig Sauer Problems

So the hammer didnt strike the pin at all, or was it just a light strike? Have you checked to see if the firing pin is stuck or broken?

Went and bought a CZ-52 today

Been wanting one of those for a while, seems like the supply is drying up maybe?

      Pence did good

We all know how dangerous refugees can be, especially religious refugees. They tend to be hazardous to the local peoples and cultures.... just ask the Indians. :toilet2: Anyway, I think we should accept the refugees as I'm sure we can find someone way or another to monitor/ screen/ spy on the...

Is the money you spend on a SIG worth it?!?

My 228 came with a pair of hogue grips installed, which makes the grip just ever so slightly large for me. Thats my only complaint with sigs (and the price point on new models).

Is the money you spend on a SIG worth it?!?

I just seen an article from The Firearms Blog about a limited edition "p229 Carry"....... why must I be broke lol

Is the money you spend on a SIG worth it?!?

I did get mine used, so I assume its probably the case. Looked at pictures of other sigs online and it seems normal. Hoping that a bit of lubricant will slow anymore wear. (the guns was dry as a rock when I bought it.)

Is the money you spend on a SIG worth it?!?

Is it normal for the top of the barrel on sigs to loose their finish? THe top of mine is bright silver versus the black finish that the rest of it has.

Is the money you spend on a SIG worth it?!?

If it doesnt match his views then he'll probably -rep it, been on the recieving end of his disdain personally. lol

      What's Your Next Handgun...and why?

I've been wanting a stainless vaquero in 45lc for a while. I got to handle one at a gun shop and that thing fit my hand like a glove. The matching sets that they make (use to?) were something I drooled over.

Is the money you spend on a SIG worth it?!?

I plan on carrying mine as an edc, hopefully will be getting my permit over the next break I'm home from college. also plan on carrying at least one back up mag with it as well.

Is the money you spend on a SIG worth it?!?

I traded a gun and paid 250 out of pocket for my 228, I'd definitely say it was money well spent. I will admit that the prices on some of their guns brand new seems a bit up there, but I generally buy used.

      .308 bolt action rifles

doing some research since this thread, the mossberg patriot night train package looks awefully tempting in my opinion.

      .308 bolt action rifles

I agree the stock is horrible, its my biggest issue about it. However, the action on mine is pretty good (besides the starting turn, axis apparently has improper angling at the lift) and the trigger was good. Though I bought mine used so it may have had some of its kinks worked out.

      Springfield Armory 10mm

Possibly stupid question, but does Springfield no longer manufacturer long slide 1911's? ALso seeing as how there is a seam along the front does this new 10mm have a fixed comp?

      What's Your Next Handgun...and why?

It depends on my budget, but I'd love to finally get my first 1911. However I also want to get one of the old metal pistols from smith and wesson (59, 39, etc.) One of my relatives has one and I absolutely love it.

      New or Used?

Buy used, from a gun store you can trust. Also buy a good brand. (Bought my 228 used and will probably carry it for a very long time). All the firearms I own minus my 590a1 has been used.

      .308 bolt action rifles

If you're looking on the budget side, I'd recommend the savage axis. I have one in .223 and it is pleasantly surprising. I would imagine that a .308 would be fine, obviously more recoil, but its a fairly sound rifle.

      Sig announces re-release of P225-A1 single-stack 9mm

I think I'll probably stick to my 228, though it is nice that they are bringing one of their guns back to the market albeit modified.

Dumbest thing you have ever done with a gun and learned a lesson?

Discovered the hard way that accidental dry fires of my old marlin 39a that rimfire firing pins are delicate and costly to replace. My second biggest mistake was thinking I could rush through the dis-assembly of a brand new 590a1. Trying to remove the trigger group resulted in a nice gouge out...
