I've had nothing but good experiences with the 597 I bought about 6 months ago. I even picked up the Remington stamped 30 round plastic clip and haven't had any issues with it. Accuracy was great out of the box. I was looking at the Marlin 60 and 10/22 before I went with the 597, and I'm glad I...
I have a 5' loaded and love it. I will never sell it. It eats every type of ammo I throw at it, runs dirty if I don't have time to clean it, and is a breeze to tear down and clean. Just watch those idiot marks. Great gun!
I ride sport bikes, so I/OWB's either poke me wrong, or are more open carry than what I like while riding. I draw enough attention as it is. I ended up with one of the cheapy shoulder holster rigs sold at the 1500. Comfortable under my leather, and I can carry two clips with it. It fits my Glock...
I live in the 'Burg and carry in that WalMart a couple of times a week. I mostly CC, but I have OC'd when dressed in my monkey suit. I've never gotten any unwanted attention either way from that store. I check there all the time for the Federal Value Pack .223.
What a coincidence, I just painted my 597 stock yesterday. Went to walmart, picked up a can of the Krylon made for plastic in black and a variety pack of sandpaper.
After reading the paint can, I passed on priming/sanding the stock and just hit it with a very light coat, and it came out great...
Saw the rules posted in Hellion's house first hand this weekend. Printing mine off now to post in my house.
Had a good time with you at the gun show this weekend, thanks again for letting me borrow that bore laser site. I'll get that back to you with the quickness.
:+1:
I've got two of them, and yup, same thing happens. I think after time the paddle flexes abit and it's easier to take off. When I first got mine, I'd have to drop trow to take them off at the end of the day. I think the first time the Mrs saw me with my weapon in hand and my pants down around my...
She's definitely a keeper.
Mine told me last week to go buy a .22 so that I save some $$ when I go to the range. Ontop of that, she told me not to worry about getting her anything for Valentines Day.....
.....but I know that last part is a trick.

I've stopped and talked to the same guy I think at the last couple of shows. I think the place is called Summit 3d Graphics, and there's somewhere down in the near/south. Here's a link to their page;

I'm going to try and make it, my kids been sick most of the week, but he's been doing pretty good today. If he's doing this good tomorrow, I'll be there.
I like a dark or columbian roast. No cream or sugar. My wife got me a huge back of dunkin donuts coffee for Christmas, and it's actually pretty good.
Not a fan of starbucks, always tastes burnt to me.
I picked up a 17C for a good price awhile back. While using the compensated barrel, my sites stayed pretty clean, but cleaning the inside lip of the comp ports on the slides was a never ending battle. Nothing serious, unless your alittle OCD like me.
I ended up buying a LW non comp'd barrel...
Jane's prized possession, Vera, from the Firefly series was a favorite. I would have been hard pressed not to trade the Mal's newly acquired psychotic wife for this;
