Got the Haimer setup and used it to accurately measure the I.D. of the stainless steel Phoenix Trinity grip. I ended up having to remove .005" from each side of the mating area of the frame in order for the grip to slip fit into place.

If you ever need someone to sweep your shop please get ahold of me instead of pay I would take just watching you work.
This is so interesting I never knew how much craftsmanship it took. Thank you for posting

Rear sight is installed. Due to the slide being tri-topped, the sight is a bit more pronounced than it would be on a round-top slide.

I have a couple front sights on-hand, but not the correct height. I am going to wait to machine for the front sight once it is in hand. Could possibly be tomorrow, however, I am going to do the front and rear cocking serrations next. Andy

Machining the cocking serrations today. This slide will get the classic style serrations both on the rear, as well as the front of the slide.

Helps to have the math worked out and written down ahead of time....

The serrations are a bit dirty with coolant and, but you can see how they turned out. Once the slide is done and cleaned up, I will post some more pictures.

Chuchmouse, AllenM and I are secretly in cahoots to get you to keep spending money!! :D

In truth I am building 3 legacy guns for my boys. When done they will get to choose between them and after I have enjoyed them and the time is right they will be passed along.
