Any of you bought a gun without holding/testing it out?

I bought both my K98 and my P38 without first handling them, and they have been awesome purchases.

      Your first gun...

The first gun I ever shot was a Remington shot gun, I think it was an 870 express. The first gun i ever owned was a 1942 German K98, still have it. :) Christian

Kel Tech PF9 as a CCW?

Im relatively new to handguns, I own a 1944 P38 but that is just a collector piece to me. Ive heard good things about it and was thinking about buying one to use as a concealed carry weapon. I realize there are a million different opinions, but I was looking for some advice on the PF9 or...

Military Surplus, what should I get?

The Enfield and the K31 certainly are, but surplus 50's Yugo 8mm ammo can be had for around $0.25 a round, and it shoots just as well as the new stuff so long as your firing pin spring is strong. Ive been through about 600 rounds between 2 Mausers and I've had two that didnt fire the first time...

Military Surplus, what should I get?

Between me and my dad we own all four, but have not shot the K31 yet. They all have good qualities. I would recommend looking into a Mosin Nagant M91/30 as well. They are inexpensive and cheap to shoot. But they are well built to and are accurate. The SKS has the least kick of them all, and the...

      Ruger 10/22 or Remington 597?

Have to agree with stack23, the Ruger is a good inexpensive gun that can be upgraded. We started with one and I still use it when i want to plink and dont want to spend a lot or kill my shoulder. Christian

      New 10/22

10/22's are great rifles, thats what we started with a couple years ago. Evcen though we moved to the more high powered rifles, as Dorian Gray said, they are still great guns to plink with, plus the ammo is cheap too! :yesway: Christian

June '12 1500: worth it this time?

Went with dad to the 1500 on Friday. Didn't find any great deals on guns, but bought a spam can of ammo for my Mosin and some other cleaning stuff that I needed. Had a good time but $10 is sort of expensive for admission.

      Howdy!

Been lurking here for awhile now, and decided I ought to introduce myself. My name's Christian and my biggest interest is in Nazi WWII firearms, but I find other WWII weapons of interest too. Christian

      +1 Beech Grove Firearms

I really like Beech Grove Firearms. Always get good advice and the guys behind the counter are very easy to deal with.
