That's not all I got out of your post. I just didn't think it would be productive to try to address every point. This could go on forever. We don't have the same opinion on this topic.
Your last paragraph:
"Yes, my children are at an increased risk because I do not hide my firearms from...
I stand corrected; "without supervision" is a better way of putting it. I also agree that it is a matter of risk reduction. There is no way possible to eliminate all risk. Beyond that, I think we've come to the "agree to disagree" point (I happen to think that car seats, fix-sided cribs, and...
I said that in my first post: "I agree that children should be educated about firearms, whether or not they are in your home. They may come across them elsewhere and should know what to do and what not to do." No where did I say to rely solely on supervision. If anyone thinks that you can...
I carry a S & W .38 airweight (642) with +P's. I have no problem concealing it with a Sticky pocket holster. I can tuck in my waist band and it stays secure.
I agree with the others who said it boils down to what you are comfortable with (not your husband).
At ages 4 and 7 it's not prudent to rely on anything except supervision to keep them safe. I'm sure you wouldn't leave them home alone at that age, no matter how disciplined and trained they may be. I'm not trying to start an argument or imply you are a bad parent. I'm sure that's not the...
I agree that children should be educated about firearms, whether or not they are in your home. They may come across them elsewhere and should know what to do and what not to do. That being said, I don't believe you can rely on that knowledge to keep them safe. Think about how many times...
We have a Sleep Number bed and love it. My chronic back pain disappeared almost immediately. If you go to a sleep number store they put you on a bed and help you find your "number". Mine hasn't varied from that but my husband will adjust his by 5 either way.
There is a difference in proving a point and refusing to give up a constitutional right. I don't consider someone an idiot for exercising any of their rights. "Use it or lose it" applies to more than just your....um, (I don't want to say "manhood" because that would be presumptuous) capabilities.
I have a S & W and a Colt Python. I don't think you can go wrong with a Colt. I hope you like yours as much as I've liked mine over the years. Congratulations on your purchase.
But you can parade up and down your street after the cop followed you home just fine. Must have been a bored cop to follow you home.
I've been to the break room. You were there bragging about your 14 years younger girl friend. On a thread about someone having inappropriate interactions with...
No, I have never smoked. The last bone density test I had was off the chart (apparently I have really dense bones :)). I haven't fallen or done anything else to break them. I'm pretty sure if was from the horrible cough I had with the pneumonia (which is completely cleared now).
