After watching some of the people survive on mice and rats on the series "ALONE" and "Naked and Afraid", I might just throw a few modified rat traps in my survival gear. There are plenty of modifications on You Tube.
What say you on this forum?
Do you think a Kaito Voyager Survival Radio, (or for that matter, any other radio), setting on the shelf inside a full sized FRONTIER gun safe would survive EMP with no other shielding.
Maybe it has just been a while since I have been on the BUSSE web site, but didn't they used to list their grind as a "convex". I notice that now they just list it as a "flat saber". I could be wrong, please correct me if I am.
I have two quality GALCO holsters for my new GLOCK 21. Fit and finish are great. The problem is that although neither is lined, the inside is a rough suede. The suede is so rough, the gun is hard to pull from the holster. My question is: will any product slick up the leather without making...
I bought a new knife from KERSHAW and was reading the info booklet that came with it. I was amazed when I read the portion marked "WARNING". It says: "DO NOT USE ANY OF OUR PRODUCTS AS A STABBING DEVICE. What do others think of this LAME warranty as it covers fixed and folding blades? Don't...
Anyone out there had any experience with RWL 34 blade steel ? Is it any good ? What more common steels does it compare to ? Any info will be appreciated. Thanks
I just picked up a Kershaw Ken Onion ECHO. It has synthetic grips and is in mint condition; took hair popping edge from my Spyderco Sharp Maker. Only paid $10 for it . Does anyone have any experience with this knife ? I am mostly interested in how well it will hold an edge.
I realize what I'm about to propose would be not only illegal, but a travesty to fish, under NORMAL conditions. As implied in the title it wouldn't be used under normal conditions. Has any one thought of adding GILL NETS to their survival gear. I bought three from AMAZON, just in case.
You can make a simple, but effective, pull thru for most of your firearms for pennies. Take 3' of 80# test fish line(braided) and tie a durable slip knot on one end and a small ball chain (the type that comes on nail clippers is perfect) on the other end. The weight of the chain will pull...
Does anyone out there know of a way to make leather washers permanently expand? I have a knife my dad made during WWII and the washers have gotten loose. i'm afraid if I put any more torque on the nut, i'll break the tang. And yes I've put every brand of penetrating oil on the nut. it's...
Does any have the recipe for the Plumpy Nut paste that is used World over for malnutrition? They, (The French) guard it like it's the recipe for turning lead into gold. It's also not for sale on the commercial market. Sounds like it would be great survival food.
