.45 ACP Hollowpoints for RIA gun?

Me too...my RIA is the compact model. I had read a few years ago that the bullet profile of the GS was more like ball ammo than other HP designs. Golden Sabers have fed my Sig P6 and my Walther P.38 and P.1s; all pistols that were supposed to have problems feeding hollow points.

      Video Presentation of the FG-42

:yesway: Definitely cool! Forgotten Weapons...that certainly makes for a cool video series.

      Kel Tec

My only experience with Kel Tec is with my P3AT. It's been a solid, reliable handgun out of the box and a good value for the money I spent on it. I figure it's gotta' be a good pistol design, as Ruger and I.O. (the Hellcat model) look to be near direct copies of it! :)

      1911 carry ammo

I too use Golden Sabers and just recently purchased a few boxes of PDX to try out in my 1911s (including a RIA Compact.) I put your comment about the bullet profile of the GS in bold because I had read years ago that the best bet for a "trouble-free" hollow point for the 1911 was a bullet that...

      Ak availability at dunhams

As of last week the Kokomo Dunhams had several AK variants but was pretty light on Mosins. I bought my Yugo underfolder there a few years ago.

      Why the CZ Love?

Here's a pic of my CZ85 Combat. I love this handgun for the same reasons that have been posted by other CZ fans. The CZ handguns really live up to the "quiet" hype about them. I will be buying one of their compact models as soon as I get the funds. The CZ85 Combat includes ambidextrous slide...

      squid jerky

Squid jerky...man I remember many years ago...my Mom (who is from Taiwan) got a package from family back in Taiwan. She's going through it, all happy and smiling, when she pulls out this bag. She goes downstairs into the family room, plops down on the couch, and with a big smile tears the bag...

The four most influential handguns of the 20th century

I appreciate your talking about your past history with revolvers. I'm still very new to them...I haven't had my 642 for a year yet and have only put about 600 rounds through it.

The four most influential handguns of the 20th century

Good choice of influential handguns and a good thread! While I also agree that the era of the revolver has past, I do not hesitate to pocket carry my 642. A revolver will never not be a viable weapon. However, I can't think of a situation where I would say "Gee, I wish I were carrying a...

      M1 Carbine advice

At one point Dunhams was selling Carbines. Now, you'll have to pick over them and odds are they are going to be in rough condition. But I was able to pick through and found one with the metal in very good condition, but with a pretty banged up stock. Since they are import marked they don't...

      Military Surplus Firearms

I'm sort of offended that you didn't include your M1 Carbine review. :) Your clips really are solid. I really enjoy my P38/P1s. Even though I know the pistol's place in history I still watched your vid just because I knew it was going to be a good watch. :yesway: Content-wise, I think...

      Beater Wheel Gun?

Taurus model 82 surplus revolvers could fit the bill. I've seen them locally for $150...J&G has them for $169. They're going to have service wear and stuff but should be a solid shooter.

      A Warning Tale For Grillers

That look magnificent! :rockwoot: Do you use the same grill for fish and red meat or chicken? If so, is there any "taste contamination" left behind from the fish?
