      Full-size striker-fired BERETTA???

I wonder when it will be on the open market and available for potential rental at various ranges.

OK, who was it? Kirk? Too much Tannerite and beer?

I was trying to make some anti-matter in my mini collider setup at Happy Hollow park. The magnetic field was unstable and....boom. I imagine the parks dept will eventually find the small crater.

      My ED treatment nightmare

You didn't say if this money was the max out of pocket you have to pay or are you paying full retail? If insurance is covering it after some dollar amount, then have your MD write you a scrip for the biggest pill size. Let's say it is 50 mg, but you don't need that much. Perhaps 10 mg is all...

Shooting someone out of anger or fear

I was talking with my non gun friend. We somehow made it to the topic of shooting a person in defense. He tells me that he would have to be "very angry" at someone to ever be able to shoot (and potentially kill) that person. I found this quite shocking actually. My response was that if the...

Indiana Brewhouse Offers Microwaved Hot Dogs, Canned Soup To Comply With Laws

"The Pint" in West Lafayette serves a hot dog and ramen noodles (from what a friend tells me). I think the prices are $10 each. They allow/encourage patrons to bring in food or have it delivered.

      calling all left handers

I have a Kershaw with a liner lock. Even though I'm right handed, I can more easily flip open the blade with my thumb when using a left hand carry. When I need to close the blade, I use my right hand to push the lock. I figure opening the blade is going to be the only time when it might be...

Observations of a first time gun show attendee (who doesn't like guns)

One addition to this: He was asking about "German companies" who manufacture guns. The name Ruger came up and he said "Yeah, that German company." I informed him it was a US company - Sturm Ruger. Turns how he was thinking of the German Luger...not Ruger.

Observations of a first time gun show attendee (who doesn't like guns)

I took a trip to Chicago and was heading back down I-65 on Saturday morning. There happened to be a gun show in Valparaiso. Since I was sort of “passing by,” I wanted to stop. With me was my non (nearly anti) gun friend. I told him I was going to the show (I was driving) and opted to drop...

When do you UNchamber your gun?

I leave my carry gun (sub compact) loaded. my home defense pistol (full size) is loaded as well. With HD, I did leave the chamber empty. I realized doing so would mean more time to load it. It is best to use a quick access safe to know a kid won't touch it.

Range Day with The Gal (LC9S REQUEST)

I just took the leap and bought the LC9s (already have the LC9.). I shot them side by side. After being used to the long trigger, I was amazed with the striker gun. I will be postin my LC9 for sale as soon as i clean it. There is a major difference in the slide operation. On the s when the slide...

How would you evaluate a situation where you prepare to draw your weapon?

Recently I had an odd situation. I wanted to have Sunday brunch and walk a bit. Around 1 p.m., I leave brunch and head to my vehicle. Normally, this time of day on Sunday is real quiet downtown. Ahead of me was a man behaving strangely. He had his shorts half way down his butt, shirt off...

Is it rude to call LG stores and ask for pricing?

I recently did this calling 3 stores. Two of them gave me a price and one of them wanted me to call on a weekday. The ones who gave a price typed on their computer. They weren't running around the store. I ordered from the store with the lowest price. If a store doesn't want to give a price...

Help me choose my next pistol!

You already have multiple Glocks. Why buy more of (essentially) the same? Change things up. I'd recommend a Beretta 92FS. Used ones are affordable. The mags are plentiful and cheap . I like the "natural point" of it over a Glock. A 1911 would be nice as well. I like shooting them but don't...

Do men really have a "privilege of guns?"

This blog was sent to me by an internet feminist I know. It is very extreme and I didn't give much credibility to it. Something new I notice of "male privileges" was point 66. "And even when women do get access to guns, they are typically steered towards sh*ttier, misfire-prone weapons that...
