Does the M&P 2.0 compact use the same magazines as the original compact?

The mags for the original M&P compact will not work in the new 2.0 compact, because the old mags are too short. The old mags are 10 or 12 round capacity, the new mags are 13 or 15 round.

The new 2.0 mags will work in the shorter grip of the old M&P compact, however. All of the M&P mags of the same caliber are the same, just different lengths. (Except the Shield models, of course)

Right on, so basically the 2.0s use the same mag's as what were the full size. Correct?
My compact came with a 10rnd and 15rnd with a dlip on grip sleeve

The 2.0 Compact does not flush fit the same mags that the 1.0 full size did. The 2.0 Compact can use the 1.0 full size mags, but they won't be flush fit without the sleeve adapter provided with the gun.

The 2.0 Compact uses a flush fit 15 round mag that is new to this gun, while the 1.0 full sized guns use a 17 round flush fit mags.

As stated, the 2.0 Compact can use the full size 17 round mags (like a Glock 19 can use Glock 17 mags). Make sense?

This is the 9mm flush fit mag for the 2.0 Compact https://www.midwayusa.com/product/3...d-p-m20-compact-9mm-luger-15-round-steel-blue (Note they can be had at some places cheaper than this price)

Local dealer called today had a box’s from Bud’s for me!
This one has the factory night sights.
    $389.00 shipped for LEO/MIL.

It’s the replacement for my broken SIG.

300 rounds through the 2.0 no malfunctions of any type the night sights are very good it’s more accurate than me and the trigger is nice.
The interchangeable grip inserts are a game changer I shot groups with each size for me the meduim large are the best. The ability to use a 17 round magazine with the grip filler creates you own “x” model and then you can use the 15 round magazines for max concealment. Less perceived recoil than any other compact 9mm I have encountered.
Pistol seems to be a winner unless you are heavily invested in another platform and you cannot be swayed you are doing yourself an injustice by not checking one out.

Stay tuned I just ordered the Apex trigger kit we will see what that does?

I took mine to the range the other day. Shot 400+ rounds with it, no issues as expected. Its moved its way to the front of my rotation. Also ordered a NSR Tactical holster for it. I'll probably swap the trigger (because of the shoe) and the sights because I hate 3dot sights. Its a 5 out of 5 imo.

Can someone verify if the standard size (4.25") barrel will work in the 2.0 Compact model ? If if was covered earlier in this thread, sorry I missed it.

The 9mm barrel will in a .40 pistol. I used the standard 4.25" 9mm barrel to shoot 9mm in my .40 Compact 2.0 and it worked fine with 9mm mags.

OK, thanks. I am now considering replacing most of my Glocks with M&Ps. But, only if I can use a M&P standard 4.25" in the 2.0 Compact .40. Sounds like it will work. :)
