It's been a while since I said goodbye. The morning of Friday, November 9th I graduated Army BCT. I can't be more proud of what I accomplished. My lifelong dream of becoming a soldier is done. I leave for AIT tomorrow morning. 10 weeks at Fort Lee in Virginia. Won't be back in good Ole Indiana...
Thanks to everyone for the kind words and advice. I'll be going to the recruiters Sunday at 1pm, going to the hotel in Chicago. MEPS Monday morning, then airport. Be in Oklahoma by Monday night. Getting pretty nervous but excited as well.
As some of you might remember, this past March I swore into the US Army. I leave for basic training in 10 days with my childhood friend. We will be in Oklahoma for basic, then Virginia for AIT.

I'm not an expert on ARs or...
I too have Critical Defense in my Glock 19. No setbacks though. The Critical Defense line according to Hornady are "cannelured and crimped to avoid bullet setback."
Maybe different calibers have more/less setback than others?:dunno:
Well said. It's just bs how fast the government will eff you over..and it's not like this guy knew it was a female civilian and gunned her down for kicks. I mean I wasn't there but it sounds like he made a judgement call and turned out to be a mistake but given what he's been through, can you...
