      I had pictures of everything until the mods removed the post. I am going to wait until they allow me to repost it, rather than fragmenting the post. I am not sure who makes the mechanism but I know it isn't an ACE.

      If you are looking to reach out and touch something and cost isn't an issue, I see why you'd go with a .223 considering the .308's rep as a more effective long distance cartridge.

      Youth model vs. Regular shotgun

      I got my 13 year old brother a youth model rossi. I got it in a 20 gauge thinking he would want something with some punch but a 12 gauge in such a light gun would hurt. Well that gun is SO light that the 20 gauge kicks more than my heavier 12 gauge. He loves it though!

      Home defense shotgun questions

      Not really sure you'd "need" lasers, folding stocks, heat seaking rounds, etc. I think an 18.5" barrel, a flashlight, some 00 buckshot and some slugs, and a lot of practice will serve you just fine. Keep it simple.

      Should a "practice gun" be similar to your "carry gun"?

      There are many carry guns with interchangable barrels for the very reason being debated. I know Kimber has a .22LR conversion kit for their 1911s, and there have to be some for Glocks too, not sure about XDs. I see that as a viable way to do it.

      If they both fit your hand, the P-22 would be easier with your suppressor because you can get them with threaded barrels, but I have seen them be a little finnicky with ammo.

      Bought my first glock, shot it, liked it, now what?

      The factory glock sights never sat well with me. I also don't understand why somebody would get a handgun without night sights when the majority of defensive handgun use occurs in low light scenarios.
