Best place to camp near Indy?

Plus one on this. Easy commute down 37 to downtown. Prolly 30 minutes more or less. Very nice campground.

      Issues with Gunbroker

That sounds like BS to me. Email gunbroker with questions. Don't send personel info.

      New programs for school defense

I think schools need a security force of some type. I think this person or persons should be more like Andy Griffith than Barney Fife. I think they could be plain clothes and armed and mingle with the students. They should also have a role in discipline, anti bullying, and general peacekeeping...

      Gander Mountain misinformation?

I think people give these employees way more credit than they deserve. It's like getting computer advise at radio shack. They are far from experts.

      January's Indy 1500

May be the last one. I'm sure gun shows are on the ban list.

WSJ Poll: Should high-capacity ammunition magazines for rifles be banned?

I wish the solution were that easy. If I was guaranteed the ban would prevent this tragedy from ever happening again I would be all for it. Sadly it would have no effect.

      Roberts .257

I found out a little more about it. Supposedly It was built as a varmit gun. I got it cleaned up and everything seems to function properly. Methinks it's time to pop a few caps...see how accurate this thing is.

      Roberts .257

Sorry buy I don't think posting pictures is an option for me. From what I understand, they bought a barrel, stock etc. and assembled it. The stock looks good, minor blemishes on the metal parts. I think I can take it apart, clean it up and it will look pretty good. The scope mount is a Buehler...

      Roberts .257

I just bought a Roberts .257 rifle from an employee. This gun was built by a local machine shop owner back in the 60's. Gun looks good and is heavy as hell. I am going to take it out and see how it shoots. Because it's "homemade" anybody have an idea of what it's worth?

      Scope, red dot??

Wow. That's quite a range of prices. I guess I need some education on what makes one better than another. I was looking at some Tru glo products at Dick's the other night. Know anything about them? I like the Tru glo sight beads for shotguns. BTW, Thanks for moving to the appropriate forum. Doh...

      Scope, red dot??

My old eyes aren't as sharp as they used to be so I'm going to put some sort of artificial sighting mechanism on my new SW mp15. Seems the sights on it are a bit blurry;). Anybody got a good suggestion? I'm probably going to be shooting squirrels in the ears at about 50 yards and don't want the...

      Bolt-Action 22 LR, Suggestions?

Got 4 new long guns today.

I've had a Mark IV 1400 since the early seventies and it has always been a very reliable gun.
