Muzzle break on Kel-Tek Sub 2000???

Has anyone ever put a muzzle break on a Sub 2000? (9mm) I know, most people would ask "why?", but, I am recovering from a detached retina and in order to keep enjoying my sport, I have to eliminate as much recoil as i possibly can, now, and in the future for fear of the 1 in 3 chance of it...

      Protective eye gear

Hey Folks, I have been shooting since 1966 in one form or another and competitively for a few years now and have finally been giving thought to some "purpose driven eye protection". I've always just wore my Cool-Rays or safety glasses but I think I want some "yellow" shooting glasses and/or...

Have you ever used this service??? Just curious.

I was doing some looking around the internet at reloading info and found this site: LoadData Cast Bullet Loads&header=9mm Caliber Reloading Data I looked interesting except it requires purchasing a subscription. I was just curious if any of you have used it and if was any good. Just curious...

My bullets too short. (story of my life)

Yup, and it sucks. :( :D Actually, the rounds I reloaded last night are about 30-40 thousandths too short. I am wondering if it would hurt to shoot them?? I kinda understnd that short is better than too long, but.......... I'm new at this and I guess I got a little ahead of myself. I was...

Are there 147gr. 9mm bullet molds out there??

I'm about to pull the trigger on a Lee 125 gr., 9mm, 6 bullet mold. But, I'd like to find a 147gr. Does anyone make one? I haven't been able to find one on the web. Maybe I need to get a custom one made. My IDPA gun likes that weight really well.

I still don't understand if a new gun has a traceable papertrail to me.

I read this thread: https://www.indianagunowners.com/forums/the_legislation_of_the_2nd_amendment/227517-this_is_what_happens_with_gun_registration.html and it doesn't really give me the answer, one way or the other, on whether or not a brand new (or used) gun purchased thru an FFL can be traced...

How many presses do you have/need????

I put this question in another thread but thought it best to start my own thread and not Hyjack: OK..... You guys got me perplexed. (not always hard to do ) I am just now getting into reloading and bought a 550. (I am taking Andrews class before jumping in) I am also a metal...

      ??? for reloaders of 9mm.

I will be getting my Dillon in a couple days and I was curious what your cost is to reload a 9mm with range brass?? I'm not counting the press, tools, etc. Just the components - powder, bullet, primer. I had always understood it to be about .12 cents. I think I may have been mistaken. :rolleyes...

Primer question- can they mess with us??

OK, so I JUST bought my first reloader. Dillon 550 off ebay. WooHoo!!:rockwoot: I have been reading a bunch on here about do's and don'ts and such, trying to get an education but, I have a question that was brought up to me last night. A friend said that the next way the illustrious Gov is going...

Best gun for shooting IDPA??? I have my fav but what's yours?

I have been shooting IDPA for a couple years now and I "personally" like my P-99AS Walther. I, like most everyone else, have my preferences, (I also like Harley's and Chevy's :):), but anyway... a buddy of mine and I are going to the 1500 this weekend and he is wanting to know what others...

      Best "Berm Material" besides dirt????

Hey Guys, I was wanting to create some side berms for shooting bays. (I have a dirt back berm/back stop already) My problem lies in that dirt is at a premium, IF you can even get it. I was looking at concrete truck wash out material, 2'x2'x4' solid concrete blocks ($20.00 ea.) but they have a...

New IDPA Course in So. East Indiana

Hey Folks, Haven't been on here in a few weeks. Life has been more than crazy.:runaway: One of the things that has been taking up some of my "non-existant time" is setting up an IDPA course here in Batesville. (Batesville is about half way between Indy and Cincy on I-74.) The Club is called...

Ricochet off of steel targets (??) New hand gun course.

Hey Guys, I was just at a shooting club meeting this evening where I want to get some hand gun shooting going. ( Tri-County Coon Hunters - trap shooting, skeet shooting, sporting clays, muzzleload rifle shooting, conservation club, horseshoe pitching ) They have a very nice range but no one does...

How do you make a Texas Star??

Anybody know where I can find plans on how they make Texas Stars? Is there any size spec's?? I know several places shoot them but I've not been to one yet to see how they are made. I'd like to make one myself for taking to the range and "playing". :ar15: :D (fwiw, yes, I have the material...

Ever built a gun safe? Have any ideas/suggestions??

So as to not hyjack another ongoing thread about gun cabinets/safe boxes, I thought I'd start another thread about building a "gun safe". Granted, a person would need the steel, equiptment and welding abilities necessary but, I imagine there are a few of us on here. My interest/thing is that...

Your thoughts on a "Portable Range"???

Hey Guys, I'd like for you to think about this and give me you ideas, opinions, knowledge, insight, etc. on something I have been thinking about. I've never seen one (that might be a clue  hmmm...) but I have been thinking about the feasibility of a portable range made out of a 53'...

Anyone have the Majestic Quick Strip Kit for MKII's??

Hey Guys, I have been watching the "Who shoots .22's" thread and I saw where a guy posted the Majestic Quick strip kit for the MKII's. It "looks" like a cool deal but I am concerned if there are any "side effects" to the gun after it's installed. It's the old "too good to be true" thing cause...
